A silver mounted black ceramic jug 'The Bell Edmonton' 1895

An antique black Pottery Jug, decorated with a continuous scene entitled ‘The Bell Edmonton – The Diverting History of John Gilpin’ in relief. Bell shaped with residule gilding to represent the bronze of the bell showing through Impressed mark MacIntyre, Burslem and Rd number Topped with a silver band bearing the Hallmarks for London 1895 and the Makers’ Mark for Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings (Frank Shepherd).
